Designed to redirect water away from the window. Miata hardtop rain rails fit in between the window gasket and the hardtop. No drilling or adhesive is necesary. The window gasket is required for these to stay in place. Each set is formed from aluminum by hand then sand blasted to finish ready for paint or left bare. The rain rails will not discolor or deform overtime. Only fits OEM hardtop, aftermarket hardtops or fastbacks may not work and will need additional methods of fastening. 
 
It is recommended if the rail rails have a loose fit, it may be neccesary to adjust the gasket outwards towards to press firmly against the rain rail.
